ABOUT DEPARTMENT:

The department of ECE was started in 1996 with an intake of 60 students. Presently the intake is 90. There are 16 laboratories which have the latest instruments & softwares so that the students gain practical knowledge of various subjects in the departments, including a well known Seismo Electromagnetic and Space Research Lab which has the distinction of being the only one of its kind in India.

This sole mission of the Department is to produce good quality Engineers who could compete with those coming from any well reputed institution from the country and abroad. Pass out students have been placed in reputed institutions including RBI, ISRO, NTPC, BSNL, Defence and other public sectors. Many have joined companies like ITC, L&T, Satyam, HCL, Wipro etc. The Deptt. has achieved satisfactory levels of pass percentage at every stage. The M.Tech program in EC was started from the academic session 2012-13.
